• Question: What sorts of signals does the brain use to communicate sensations, thoughts and actions?

      Hey!

      Well your brain is made up of millions of things called neurons. These neurons send electrochemical signals to anywhere and everywhere in the body and this helps control our muscles so we can move (and lots of other things!). Think of neurons like the gates and wires in a computer.

      Electrochemical signals are something like what I study. It is a nice mix of electrical and chemical signals! So a combination of electricity and chemistry which is pretty awesome!!
