        Hi Ava,

        The battery I am developing will be put into sensors. Sensors on their own will not be able to power themselves, and my battery to give them the power to work.. Kind of like us and food.. If we don’t eat food then we get lazy and tired, but as soon as we eat we can do anything!

        Just to give you some more information… A sensor is a device that can receive a signal and respond to it. For example you could have a motion sensor in lights, and when the sensor detects movements the lights will come on. If there is no motion detected then the lights will turn off. Its a great way to save electricity and the environment!

        Sensors can be used for lots of different things, but my battery will go into sensors that will help make cars, houses, cities and other things smart. The sensors will connect everything to the internet and this can be used for medicine, environmental, domestic and many other applications!
