I do! I rely very heavily on technology for my work as I do all of my experiments on computers so without technology I’d be out of a job!

I’m also interested in technology outside of work, I have an unnecessary number of laptops that I like to play around with and I also have something called a Raspberry Pi which is a small cheap computer that looks like this It’s lots of fun to learn programming on!

        Hey Twincam

Sorry for the late reply! the website was acting up on me 🙁

I use technology ALL the time – its one of the coolest bits about being a scientist! we have loads of gadgets and kit that we use to measure and control things with.

We have machines that can give MRI scans to chemicals (we call it an NMR machine) so we can see exactly whats going on in our chemicals (a bit like a medical doctor would do with people – except the machine is smaller lol). I have pumps that can suck almost all the air out of a container (so that water will boil at room temperature) – I have a machine that beams infrared light into molecules and can tell me how the atoms are connected together.

But most importantly i also have a kettle – COFFEE is the most important ingredient in science (after curiosity of course!)

Hope that answers your question! let me know if you want to know more 🙂
