        Hi Aoife!

Why yes I do actually! An Egyptologist is any archaeologist, historian, linguist, or art historian who specialises in Egyptology, the scientific study of Ancient Egypt and its antiquities.

I watch a lot of documentaries about ancient Egypt, and have been to Egypt myself! It’s amazing! My favourite Egyptologist is Zahi Hawass (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zahi_Hawass) as he is very knowledgeable and always has interesting facts about Egypt!

I am addicted to watching all the documentaries about Egypt and he generally stars in the documentaries as he is the leading Egyptologist at the moment! His team is very good too with a nice mix of men and women from around the globe! They inspire me to ask questions and find out more about pharaohs and ancient Egyptian life!

        Hi Aoife,

Lousie has given an awesome answer your question! I think egyptologists are cool too!

my favourite egyptologist is Jean-François Champollion:

he discovered how to read ancient Egyptian – which meant we could understand loads about what happened in the past.

        who is your favourite egyptologist?
