• Question: did you face any extra hardships because you are a woman in the science world

      Hello!

      That is a very interesting question! I do not personally, not where I am doing my PhD anyway! Everyone is treated the same, and my boss treats everyone fairly.

      Maybe in some places there can be hardships but certainly not where I am! In fact women are more encouraged to start doing science, so if anything we are probably helped better than the boys!

      This is a great question, I think there is a big misconception out there that women in science have a much harder time succeeding. I personally have had no problems in science related to being a woman in science, in fact in our group there are more girls than guys doing PhDs!
