        Hi 336newg39!

        Iodine, well I think Iodine is pretty awesome! I use Iodine fumes to show fingerprints on paper.. its actually pretty awesome! Here is a video which shows it being done:https://youtu.be/qI9KcU0neys?t=350
        The iodine gas is purple which is a colour that I like!
        It was also used to treat illnesses way back in the day so it is quite versatile, even today it play an important role in our thyroid gland as it helps control our growth rate!

        All in all I give iodine the thumbs up because it can be used in forensic science! Super cool element!

        I like iodine, like Louise said it has a lot of uses.

        There is also a really cool experiment called the “iodine snake experiment” which is the decomposition of H2O2 (hydrogen peroxide) but KI (potassium iodide). Here is a video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x-7KpblfF4U

        You should ask your teacher if they can demonstrate it for you sometime!

        I think iodine is awesome!

        If you mix it with ammonia you can make a contact explosive that we use in demonstrations here at the uni
